Bridging modern medicine and ancient wisdom to support healing of body, mind, spirit, and environment

About Afia
For more than three decades, I have walked the path of healing as a psychologist, naturopathic doctor, permaculture teacher, and shamanic practitioner, integrating my earned wisdom and playful humor.
I am an enrolled member of the Choctaw Nation, and have had the privilege to learn about Lakota ways. I studied Psychedelic healing and became certified in psychedelic research and therapy in 2018 at CIIS. From these learnings and experiences my Spiritual growth evolved and embraced Existential Humility, a way of being that honors the mystery of Spirit, the sovereignty of the individual and the community.
My practice weaves modern medicine, indigenous ceremony, and lived experience into a single thread of care. I have learned that healing is a remembering of wholeness, a way of coming home to yourself through the wisdom of body, Spirit, and environment. The Earth has been my greatest teacher, revealing that life and death, loss and renewal, move together in sacred rhythm.
Like many, I came to this work through my own experiences of trauma, loss, and transformation. Those thresholds taught me how to listen deeply: to the body, to the land, and to Spirit. Today, I walk beside those of you in transition, helping you navigate change with courage and reverence and to celebrate your evolution.
My calling is to support those seeking holistic healing, blending medical insight, psychological understanding, Spiritual devotion and ancestral Earth wisdom, so that you may remember who you are and return to yourself, whole and sovereign.
Services
For women (and those who love them) navigating transformation, my mentorship sessions provide grounded spiritual guidance that bridges the psychological, the physical, the erotic, and the environmental. Drawing on decades of experience as a naturopathic doctor, permaculture teacher, and therapist, I support your inner healer, healing the stories (those layers of social conditioning) and wounds that no longer serve you, and that have disconnected you from your true nature. Through this process of re-membering, you can return to your own knowing and reclaim who you came here to be.
Ceremony is the ancient wisdom practice of calling out to Spirit for healing - where gratitude, joy, and transformation are held in reverence. My ceremonial work weaves traditional shamanic and somatic practices, sound, and prayer with trauma-informed presence.
Whether you’re marking a beginning, navigating a transition, desire to reconnect with Spirit, or marking an ending, my ceremonies offer a container for renewal, one that honors your humanity and your seasons as sacred.
As a speaker, I bring over 30 years of clinical, psychological, and shamanic experience to conversations on healing, eroticism, consciousness, and reconnecting to the Sacred Feminine.
My talks invite you into a deeper understanding of how your physiological, environmental, and spiritual intersect to create your true integration. My presence as a speaker is both catalytic and calming, I speak to awaken your sacred remembrance.
Community Care Fund
Healing and learning about ourselves is not a privilege. The Community Care Fund allows those with resources to support those who have monetary limitations, helping people in financial need access mentorship.
100% of every contribution directly funds continued learning classes or healing sessions for individuals who are ready for this work but may not have the financial means to invest in it at this time. Together, we create a ripple of healing that extends far beyond one session, paying it forward, walking in beauty.

Podcast & Courses
I am working on offerings born from decades of walking beside others in healing and transformation. In the months ahead, I’ll be sharing a podcast and a series of self-paced courses with you that weave together story, spiritual practice, and embodied remembrance.
The podcast, Field Guide for Curious Peeps, is a space where you can stand in awe of the Great Mystery. It is for you if you are seeking healing not as a single destination, but as a way of being. Through conversation and lived experience, it offers gentle companionship, practical tools, and reflections to guide you home to yourself and to the living Earth.
The courses will be invitations to deepen your own practice, to integrate spiritual wisdom, nervous system awareness, environmental attunement, and self-sovereignty in your own rhythm and time.
These offerings are part of a larger devotion for me. They are the culmination of my life’s work and dedication. They are meant to help you restore balance, belonging, and reverence in how you live, love, and relate to this planet. You can learn to feel gratitude, to feel more a part of something greater than yourself, and to laugh.
